Tara Sands

Tara Jayne Sands is an American voice actress whose voice has shaped a generation of anime and animation fans. She is best known as the original English dub voice of Bulbasaur in Pokémon the Series, where she voiced over 50 characters across the show's first eight seasons and later returned to voice Professor Cerise's Yamper in Pokémon Journeys.

Beyond Pokémon, Tara has brought to life Mokuba Kaiba in Yu-Gi-Oh! Duel Monsters, Kari Kamiya in Digimon Adventure tri., Anna Kyoyama in Shaman King, Filia Ul Copt in Slayers, Biscuit "Bisky" Krueger in Hunter × Hunter, and roles in Jujutsu Kaisen, My Hero Academia, Boruto, Bleach: Thousand-Year Blood War, and JoJo's Bizarre Adventure — plus Summer in Barbie: Life in the Dreamhouse and Ruby in Rainbow High.

From 2005 to 2007, Tara was the on-camera co-host of Cartoon Network's Fridays block for over 100 episodes. Her voice can also be heard across hundreds of commercials, video games, and audiobooks. She lives and works in Los Angeles.
